The little office that could

It has been an exciting few weeks at Community of Hope. We were able to move into a storefront location across from Cleveland State University. We were the recipients of donated office furniture from Covia Corporation.

We are having our next informational meeting in the community on October 25th at 6pm sponsored by Cuyahoga County Community College. The meeting will be at the Jerry Sue Thornton Center at Cuyahoga Community College. If you would like to come hear about our work and learn how you can be apart of it you can register for that event for free at:

This week we finished training our next 4 tables that will be launching soon. This will take our grand total in Cleveland up to 40 tables since 2014.

Most importantly, we were able to find the most amazing Project Coordinator, Avril Sargeant, who is a licensed counselor specializing in trauma counseling. While we will not be doing counseling at Community of Hope, her knowledge about trauma will help inform our work and enable us to provide trauma informed training to our volunteers. We are so thankful for her joining the team.

This will enable to keep expanding our work and supporting our youth and volunteers. This work is not easy, and does not always (or ever) go as planned, but it has taught us the importance of persistence and patience. We are so thankful for our volunteers and for those who have partnered to financially support our work.
